The founder Late Keerrai Thamil Selvan was born in 1936 at Keeranur, a small village in Pudukkottai District. He was well known social worker who did a yeoman service to socially and economically depressed community for more than 50 years.
The Keerrai Thamil Selvan Educational and Charitable Trust was established bythe Keerrai Thamil Rajaand Registered under Indian Trust Act – Register Number 711 on 2nd December 2005 and the Trust will continue to promote all women in their socio-economic conditions and also to prepare them to stand on their own legs to compete the fast-growing world around them.

Large RCC building having more than 63000 sq ft built in area in 5 acres of land owned by the trust. The property is owned and managed by a registered trust. Ideal for institutional, educational, or community development purposes.
Well established Fundamental & Medical Surgical Nursing Lab, Anatomy and Physiology Lab, Microbiology Lab, Nutrition Lab, Community Health Nursing, Midwifery & Child Health Nursing Lab, Computer and AV Aids Laboratories are available to the students for demo and practical purpose.
Library is the Centre of learning, Well stocked with more than 4500 books recommended in the syllabus for the B.Sc Nursing students. The Foreign and Indian Nursing Journals are also available in addition to General reading Magazines & Newspapers for the use of Students & Staffs, E-learning facility also available in Library.
College has adequate buses which are made available to students and the faculty for transporting from various localities. To ensure safety and security of students, we provide transportation facility at a NO PROFIT NO LOSS BASIS. Transportation facilities are also provided for various clinical postings and field visits etc.,
The property includes a vast playground that offers ample space for various sports and games activities. It is well-suited for hosting athletic events, team sports, and recreational programs. The Students gain Clinical Experience through block postings at the various affiliated hospitals based on the following specialties namely Department of Medicine & Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Cardio Thoracic Surgery , Neurology etc...
KTS Students are exposed to various campus interviews conducted by reputed organizations in and around Pudukkottai & Major cities in Tamil Nadu.
Students gain teaching experience at Government and Government aided schools and Matriculation schools which was approved by CEO.
Students are exposed to various campus interview conducted by Private Associations and 80% of Students got job opportunity through campus interview.
